Lee Shelnutt, Pastor
Lee, a native of Newnan, Georgia, married his childhood sweetheart, Joni, in 1985. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1989 with a Bachelor in Civil Engineering (B.C.E). Afterward, he worked as an engineer for several years, including at Delta Air Lines, where he worked as a structural engineer and tool designer.
Yet, during his engineering days, he sensed God’s call to pastoral ministry. While working, he began attending the Atlanta School of Biblical Studies earning an M.A. in Theological Studies, and then went full time to Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, graduating in 1997 with an M. Div.
Lee accepted the call to be the pastor of HARP in the fall of 2011. In addition to serving as HARP's pastor, he currently serves our denomination as the Moderator of the General Synod. Lee and Joni have one dearly loved daughter, Neidin. And they are blessed to serve as a family here in Huntersville!
