A note from our Pastor
Welcome to the webpage of Huntersville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (affectionately known as HARP)! Since 1875, we’ve been a community of Christians from all walks of life united in the worship of God, and in service to Huntersville. We hope you find the information here helpful and that you will soon visit us as we gather for worship, fellowship, and encouragement. At HARP, you will find a heartfelt community of believers who understand their need for the deep mercy of Jesus, and try to reflect His love and grace in their lives. In these frenzied and divided times, we find that HARP serves as a refuge of rest and blessing. When you visit, we trust you’ll feel the same!

What to Expect
Our Worship
Sundays are the centerpiece of our life together at HARP. Our time together is marked by joyful, reverent worship intentionally connecting us with Christians throughout history through Scripture-saturated services, biblical preaching and teaching, the singing of Psalms and the great hymns of the faith, and the confession of ancient creeds that unite us saints throughout the history of the Church. Add to this the sincere, sweet fellowship we share with one another and you’ll see why our gatherings on Sundays are an essential part of our identity as a church.
Our Preaching
At HARP, we place strong emphasis on preaching. This is because we believe that the sermon is meant to be an encounter with the God who speaks, rather than just a lecture or a popular-level commentary in spoken form. Faithful preaching opens God’s very Word, the Scripture to us—unfolding the meaning and intent of each passage—and invites us into deeper communion with God. You will not find entertainment, political agendas, or passing and faddish social commentary as our focus. Instead, our preaching is centered on the eternal Word of God—seeking to draw you into a deepening relationship with Him, so that you may know Him more truly, love Him more fully, and be shaped into the likeness of Christ in every aspect of life.
Our Ministry Opportunities
HARP offers many opportunities to be ministered to and to engage your unique gifts for Christ and His Church. In addition to Sunday morning worship, Sunday school classes, and Wednesday night fellowship meals and lessons, we have various Bible studies, small groups, fellowship events, youth ministry, church-wide meals, and mission trips. Check out our Events Page for more info.
The best way to find out more is to join us this Sunday for worship!
