ARP Bible Songs
A Note on our Musical Heritage
Until 1900, the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church practiced unaccompanied, exclusive Psalmody in corporate worship. Instrumental accompaniment was permitted beginning in 1900, and hymnody was formally allowed in 1946. Since that time, Bible Songs have played an important role in ARP worship. We are pleased to share recordings of 17 well-known Bible Songs for your listening, enjoyment, edification, and to aid in learning them for future singing. These selections were recorded by the Erskine College Choraleers under the direction of Mark Nabholz. As this album is no longer available for purchase, we are making it accessible here for the benefit of the church.
